Does anyone know if there is a Cheata bracket that can be adapted to fit a 21SE, or has anyone seen a custom-made bracket that might work?? I have a long canal to navigate before I get out to open water .....towing with a dingy is an alternative, but is more cumbersome. I tried to reach the Cheata manufacturer, but was unsucessful. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks,
Hotwings

I have had a cheata bracket on my 21 SE for about 14 years and it has been great I use a Mercury 3 hp which is 20 years old. Have you tried Murrays Marine. I read someone was thinking about making one out of pvc tube which is a really bad idea. I have thought a thick metal tube with a plate on the end could be welded to the crossbar. the motor could be removed and placed on tramp when not needed? The Cheata bracket is over built due to the motor weight left on the bracket when sailing
