I have raised the SC mast solo several times. the process was described by the seller of the boat using the pole, main sheet and mast sway is stopped by using the trap wires tied to the lines from the main cross bar. very tight when up and not quite as tight when down. Frank has a very good idea using a tall step ladder (I have a tall mast carrier on the rear of the trailer) to get a raising head start.
