Sometimes my main jumps the luff usually this is dut to the jerky motion of the rope puller and not enough lube on sail luff especially at the top and at the battens Usually no big just pull sail back down and start again. I did sew a patch of sail cloth at the top and the increased thickness over the rope really seemed to help

Spring-break with Kids was incredible. Three wonderful afternoons out on 21SC. Sessions varied from rock n' roll +20 knots to all hands napping in sun soaked -10 knots. :D

I added the following to our 21SC while on the beach:

http://www.violaphoto.com/hobie21-wing- ... mp-bag.htm

a. SS Hose Clamps (with air-hose tubing preventative 'chaffing') around wing seat tubing connection brackets so my 225 lbs (plus any other crew) will not 'over-stress' rivet fashioners when trapezing off wings

b. Hobie Trampoline Storage Bag to better secure Seasafe bag, water-righting bag, fins, spare line, tools, etc which I had previously 'over-engineered' in mounting to 21SC

Latter is very effective and simple as we rarely sail with console in place so Kids can 'frolick' between trampoline and forward hammock without climbing over 'box'.

Last, trapeze wire tension is 'key' to easy mast-stepping. Whether solo or with help. As well as placement of boat/trailer in relation to prevailing wind as mast float can really create a fulcrum lever pulling the mast way over to leeward.

Hope all are getting their 21SC/SE's out. Wind is blowing and water is warming! :D

Oh yeah, replacing mast rotation limit 'casting' on crossbar with 'wishbone' (mast-mounted rotation arm) is VERY nice! 8)
