I am a proud new owner of a Sport Cruiser. Unfortunately, the previous owner did no supply the set up video. I was wondering if there was anybody out there willing to send me a copy- I'll of course pay for any costs.

I even went down to Hobie USA headquarters trying to get a copy, but apparently they do not even have a copy.

If anybody is willing please e-mail me or reply to the post.

I may have bought the last video, a year or so ago. Unfortunately, I don't have it anymore.

The part that you really need is how to raise the mast. If you ever come down to San Diego, I'll be happy to show you.

Welcome to the Class! It's a great boat.

Hey thanks guys for the responses. I believe the hulls are from 1994 and the mast and sails are from 1999. Although I'm not sure, its just what the guy i bought it from told me. The sail number is 273.

I am very excited about the boat, and eventually i plan on doing some camping trips with it along the California coast.

The boat was named "friends and poets" - hopefully I'll change that soon!

My SC is a '99 and sail number is 270, so '99 sounds pretty believable. The hull serial numbers will give away what year they were made.

My dad and i just bought a 21sc and dug it back here to Cincinnati. Everythingis winterized and stored away. I'm currently liquidating all my other toys (camera gear, motorcycle,rc planes, etc.) to buy a gennaker from Chip at Whirlwind. We're planing to go up the west coast of Michigan
Michigan city, IN to sleeping Bear Dunes, MI and back again next august. We picked the boat up in October and haven't set it up yet. I'm confident we can figure it out (I have 2 16's and an 18) but he refuses to attempt it until he's seen the video, took him 2 weeks to finish the manual!
any help finding/procuring said video would be appreciated.
I can be contacted at [email protected]
thanks,
Russell

Renaming a boat is, of course, not something to be done lightly. Since the beginning of time, sailors have sworn that there are unlucky ships and the unluckiest ships of all are those who have defied the gods and changed their names. So, is there a way to change a name and not incur the wrath of those deities that rule the elements? Yes, Virginia, there is.

Happy sails!
