I stripped my 21SE down last night of everything except the rudders, trampoline and motor mount.

While I was standing there giving her my best smile with a twinkle in my eye, I thought, hm, if I wanted to, I could just put my trolling motor on her and just drive around for a while, without even putting the mast up.

That started me thinking. I'd bet there are a few things I could make or buy that would make this an excellent base platform for the kids to swim & jump from while at the lake during the windless days of the summer.

Maybe even buy an old, broken mast and make some changes to it that would allow us to hang hammocks and or chairs from it.

Because as much as I like to go fast, there are some weekends that you just want to hang with your family and friends and relax.

Know what would be kewl? A kiddie pool that uses the lake or ocean water, than can be suspended between the pontoons for the little ones to play in.

Obviously it is your boat to do what you please with it, but being the shortage of these magnificent boats it would be akin to looking at a McLaren F1 and saying "hmmm that would make a good family car, I will just put a car seat in the back".

There is a boat that fits your needs to a "T"
a really old pontoon boat with a really old smokey loud outboard
Gary

You would still have one of the best Hobie Cats ever made or really one of the best all time cats ever made by anyone
