Hi, I'm looking at sailing in the Hilton Head area, and was wondering if anyone has put their SC on cat trax. I've always just launched and recovered from a boat ramp. I know the boat is heavy, so is it too hard for just one person?

My brother & I just got back from Port O'Connor where we launched my SC with a single cat trax. The two of us got it off the trailer and pushed it about 50 yards to the water with no problems. No problems getting it back on the trailer either, even though we had to push it up a hill.

Unless you're the reigning "World's Strongest Man" champion, however, I'm afraid that it would be nearly impossible to single hand it.

What a bunch of gurly wimps. It's only 600#   What could possibly go wrong trying to manhandle it by yourself?

Makes my lower back, and rotator cuff hurt just thinking about it..........

Franklin, How have you been doing there bud? It's been awhile!

I have a 21 SE with real cat trax rubber tires I would never try to drag this boat more than a few feet You can sometimes leave the sail to power up to the top of the beach otherwise it takes at least two large people to get boat on the trax and to pull up the beach when the tide is far out and the sand soft it is a hard thing to do If only this boat was all carbon fiber and weighed 300 lbs.

Thanks for all the replies. I figured it would be too heavy for just me, and my wife can't really help that much. I just wanted to get a little feedback before I tried something stupid and ended up stuck somewhere.
