I saw a comp tip hanging on the wall at the Hobie dealer in Ft. Lauderdale. It was for a Hobie 20 but could be cut to size for the H21. |

So spring is on its way so that means I'm running out of time to replace my comp tip on my Hobie 21se. I just had to be out of town when a hurricane rolled through this past fall  Came back to a turtled hobie that was once completly rigged ready to go on a trailer. I'd show the pictures but no one wants to see that. The comp tip broke clean at the mast and is cracked in the middle. Now I'm pretty handy with fiberglass is it possible to fix it? I'm thinking not as the forces put on the comp tip must be pretty huge. Has anyone made their own comp tip? Its looking like that's the way to go |
