My 21 is covered and ready for snow however due to global warming i really do not expect any problems crap it has barely gotten below freezing only 5-6 weeks to put back into the water I do need to work on my hobie floating dock
The muskrats use it as their favorite bathroom Muskrat poop is one of the smelliest objects in the world and is slicker than any man made oil

My 21 is in a winter hibernation, gently sleeping and dreaming of the high winds of spring time.... :)

I am looking forward to an early spring sail with my buddies.

Back in '89 when I first starting sailing my 21SE , we would sail ever month of the year.

Oh to be young again.....

Gary, can you describe your Hobie floating dock? Regular dock or specially designed for your Hobie? Thanks!

I bought 4 poly floats second hand and used treated 2X6 boards to build frame the Hobie rests on the poly floats with plenty of surface area and no point loads
The poly floats are plenty slick especially when covered with muskrat poop
The whole idea is just to build a frame to hold the floats under the hobie The poly floats are 3X4X12inches deep with the center of the hulls on the center of the floats I use a cheap winch to help pull the boat up
I need to redo the lumber this year as the boards are 17 years old
This was my beta model and hope the new version works better
I will send pictures this spring I was thinking of towing to the landing and putting it on a trailer to bring home for repairs
NOTE: my cove is very protected from waves I would never put a Hobie on a floating dock for a long time where wind and waves are a issue This is extreme for standing rigging
