The best way I have found to protect the wing holes from ice damage is to use large mason jar lids siliconed on top of the holes. The lids have a rubber gasket and a small bead of silicone is placed. I put a piece of pipe insulation into holes as a fail safe. This is a fast and not to messy to clean up. Hobie 21 Stars and Stripes #415 |

If water does get in hole when it freezes the pipe insulation will absorb the pressure and stop any damage to the fiberglass..... |
