Anybody out there thought about converting your i12s into a sleeping tent ?

Instead of carrying a bulky tent, why not just sleep in the kayak, it's quite comfortable. You can probaly design and install a small tent roof which falls along the sides of the kayak and leaves the rain out and humidity.

crazy idea ?

i don't like to reply to my own post but...

actually one could use the 4-parts mast that comes with the sail to hold the tent over the kayak. You can fold the first part and place it horizontally where it normally fits when sailing and let the other part horizontally under the tent. You would just need a V-shape type of bar for the back part, where one would enter the tent.

You could also imagine a tent with a transparent window on top so you could actually use it when riding under the rain.

I know a drawing would help here, i just don't know how to upload files...

some thoughts...
