I am getting ready to get a new i12. My dream is go demo next week (question on how comfortable the seat is for this old body) and if is as great as I expect then buy it. How do you know if you have V2 Drums and sprockets on i12 instead of V1 parts? I guess my real question is the i12s coming from the factory fully converted over to the How do you know if you have V2 Drums and sprockets? |

We have had "V2" drums for several years and "V2" sprockets for a couple... the inflatables should be fully V2. A V2 sprocket can be recognized by a bit of visable brass at the point where the mast threads in. Check the MirageDrive FAQ: http://www.hobiecat.com/community/viewforum.php?f=60 |

I just bought an inflatable i14T and it had V1 sprocket. The boat is a 2008 model. I had to learn this by trial & error because I ordered the wrong turbo fins. If you have the boat, take one fin off (see video for instructions: http://www.graspr.com/videos/Install-Ho ... rbo-Fins-1) and look up into the sprocket to see if there is threading or a set screw. Good luck! |
