Post subject:  Transducer to the inside of hull?

Hi,
I want to install a depth finder to my i12S but really insecure where to install the transducer. I think it will be possible to install it on to the rudder. But isn´t there another way? I´ll prefer to install the transducer inside the Kayak if it is possible. Is there anybody who glued the transducer to the inside of hull? Does it work?

Greetings Udo

I have not glued inside, but here is my guess. The yak will have to much give to the underside and will dislodge very easily if you bump something in that area or drop the yak, or bump the yak while loading it in the car. Or folding it up to get it into the bag.

That's what i think could happen.

If you attach to the rudder then you could take if off when you do not need it. More versitile.
