I've been taking my i12 out in stormy, roughy seas for conditioning and thought I'd post another video for the inflatable fans here on the site.

Really impressed with the both the speed, and the stability (I use both turbo fins and a sailing rudder). Also fun to come across a trad sit-in kayaker who was less then impressed to be reeled in by a "raft" (he was in a $4k full carbon rig).

PS - MODS! What's up with the vimeo embed?

yur jammin  nice to see some rough water peddling.

Have you tried catching any waves or anything with a pitch to it--wondering if it nosedives easy or not. Ive been tempted but dont want to ruin equipment trying to ride an ocean wave.

So far, so good on the i12 with surfing down waves. Wouldn't want to go get pounded in a 12' wave that's dumping on a beach, but I think thats true of all yaks. The bow / shape and waterline on the i12 leaves a bit to be desired, as the wake looks like a plow ripped thru. That said, I'll be doing a weeklong trip in Big Sur / Carmel next week and am hoping to get some time in bigger ocean swell with it.

Couldn't see the video, said it was private. Hope you had a good trip to Big Sur and Carmel. I use to be station in Monterey and love that area. If only I had a kayak when I was out that way!
