I am considering buying a used i12s (I already have a Revolution 13) and got it demonstrated. It had only been used a few times and was in ok order exempt for one thing. It was nearly impossible to get the rudder up and down except using both hands at the handles in the right side. The lines was ok - not twisted - and glided ok after when it was tested. We tried with the ruder in middle, right and left position - but same problem. The lines glide ok in i tubes - no resistance.

If the rudder got a little manual start lift by hand - the handles worked ok - but it demanded use of considerable strengths to start the procedure (up and down)

Is this a known problem? Solution?

I would like to buy it, but my wife will not be able to get the rudder up and down as it is.

Kind regards

The bolt that passes through the rudder "drum" may be too tight.

When I moved the rudder by hand , it moved freely with no more resistance that the rudder at my revolution 13 - so I dont think thats the problem.

Thanks for the suggestion

Kind regards

The control line routes around a stainless "V" ring. That causes a fair amount of friction resistance. You could add a turning block.
