Is it possible to get an itrek14 back in the bag without creasing the material? Is there a video that shows how to fold and pack? Whenever it creases it leaves a white line like a scratch on the blue material. Doesn’t look good.

I found the video on the i14t. Nothing like an itrek14. Why won’t Hobie do one on the itrek?

Like I said, you can find a packing video on the 11 below in my topic "good iTrek 11 videos?". At this point they seem to be sharing instructional vids with similar 11 and 14, as you can see in their startup vid in my same posting. The vid title is cut off "from boat to bag", and I had taken the trouble to find this in a very obscure location/channel.

Wow, it looks hard to fold even accounting for the new stiffness. I think you are super lucky to obtain a functional iTrek and don't share your cosmetic concerns. Inflatables tend to live hard and short lives, but are super fun. As stock comes available, normally others post bagging videos with their own tricks. It seems to be diagrammed in the written manual too.

There is a picture of a ship and a design suggestion but the next post/reply is blank.

Interesting; the video embed feature isn't working for you and maybe others. Anyway see https://youtu.be/PcswZa73vsw and maybe https://youtu.be/djl69_YNygw

You need to truncate the URL and use the youtube2 function...

Looks like this (BBCode is Disabled on this post to allow you to see the code)

Thanks, altho the perverse thing is it displays fine on my end in two browsers without the youtube2 format. Even if I am not logged in it gives a false sense of security that it displays as intended. I suppose some web browsers are talented enough to show ok from either form. Maybe the youtube1 syntax should be disallowed.

WOW! I’m no engineer, but I do know that if I stored or travelled on a hot day with my itrek14 in the boot (trunk) those creases would become permanent. My kayak has permanent white creases from folding once. I’ll post some pics once I work out how to.

My kayak hasn't been wet yet. These creases are from repacking it at the shop after we opened the bag to inspect.
I'm guessing its only going to get worse after a few uses if not packed neatly (if there is a way)

Hi,

How has your itrek held up after the creases? I just purchased an itrek11 last week, folded it one time and I have similar creases, one on each side, and the sides are leaking air. Not good. $2,800 boat not lasting one day?
