You might see how far this idea takes you. Here's a local Adventure using the AI crossbar holes to attach a couple of mounting boards. With the crossbars on maybe you could work up a Velcro quick detachable arrangement secured to the crossbars??

I noticed the Hobie Kayak aimed at fisherpersons has a removable (replaceable) board for mounting gear to. Great idea. Has anyone figured out something similar for AI's? I hate drilling holes in boats, so I'd rather have something that when done can be reconfigured without making more holes in the boat. |

Not a bad idea. I wouldn't feel nearly as scared drilling into the cross bars anyway. |
