I noticed the Hobie Kayak aimed at fisherpersons has a removable (replaceable) board for mounting gear to. Great idea. Has anyone figured out something similar for AI's? I hate drilling holes in boats, so I'd rather have something that when done can be reconfigured without making more holes in the boat.

You might see how far this idea takes you. Here's a local Adventure using the AI crossbar holes to attach a couple of mounting boards. With the crossbars on maybe you could work up a Velcro quick detachable arrangement secured to the crossbars?? 8)

Not a bad idea. I wouldn't feel nearly as scared drilling into the cross bars anyway.

PS: Drilling the first hole is the hardest but it gets easier the more you do!
