Great Video!!!!

One way to wash the TI :)

The SpraySkirt worked well (considering), even when the rest of the hull was mostly overwhelmed with water.

Bob, after that run, I am an even bigger fan. The skirts were never a concern when burying the bow. Great addition to any Hobie Island.

Well I can see now why you aren't too concerned by Hobie's failure to fix the funnelling handles! :wink:
Loved the video. You are certainly in a TI paradise. The water and scenery look incredible. 8)

Well, I am the Egg-Man. :wink: (That music track is 1-of-a-kind, eh?)

I really wanted to showcase the TI3's "Haka-Haka" mode here. Give you all a glimpse of the boat's stability and the spacious "stadium" seating that wraps all around.

Hiking out, you don't get hypothermic, seasick or bored. Your visibility improves, and you move forward and back, as needed.

It requires a full sail, or winds above 15 mph to put 2 walruses out on the boards at the same time. Above that, things really get fun.

You know you're preaching to the converted re haka. I left the seatwell long ago ... except for when the wind dies and you have to pedal. Looking down into that seatwell full of water from the dry haka is not inviting. I've fitted the Surf to Summit GTS seat which I have packed up with foam sheets to get it out of the puddle.

Puddle, puddle??? When I unpack a boat, I throw the seat plugs away. Why do people use seat plugs? Please explain. We do use the "I-cushion." I'm never sitting in any water for more than a couple seconds. In the "winter" (we really did not have a winter this year in S FL), I am using a pair of Kokatat Hydrus dry pants with socks http://www.nrs.com/product/25051/kokatat-hydrus-3l-tempest-dry-pants-with-socks. I love them. They keep you dry! I would guess our water temps now are around 80-81 deg F.

NOHUHU--great video. Very impressive boat & setup.

There are two causes of the puddle:
1- the seat well plugs are done up and water has come in over the side
2- the seat well plugs are undone and water has entered from below. Remember the seat well is below water level, much more so when loaded up for camping.
I would never throw my seat plugs out as most of my usage is as a kayak on calmish water for my commute. The plugs are always done up for a dry ride, unless conditions are rough or I'm sailing.

Stringy--I haven't thrown my plugs away, but I could, since I have never used them in 7 yrs AI usage. The I-cushion does a nice job of lifting you up. Also, as I said, the Kokatat Hydrus dry pants are great (Kokatat Gore-Tex bibs would be better, but cost 3+ times more). It still surprises me when I use those pants, I get to my destination, pull them off, put my shoes on (I wear my street pants or shorts under the dry pants), and I'm ready to go. Amazing.
