Has anyone tried fitting the railblaza mounts on the central, oval rather than circular, central section on a Ti?

It can be done (at least on an AI), but you have to add extra spacers, which were not available as separate parts, last I heard.

Here are the mounts for the central AKA section.

You don't need the spacers for the railblaza mounts for them to work. Just some longer bolts. file the adapter bits a bit to get the railblaza rail to fit and off you go.

Some insulation around or under the threads would be advised. We found that those screws were very close to the aluminum and with any deflection they could rub the bars.

But the real issue we experienced with the railblaza Aka mounts, is that balanced 2-sided fitment was needed to seat them properly in place. Very easy to torque one side more that the other.

On the rounder AI Akas and crossbars bars, the proper number and placement of the spacers determined how well they held (think loading them with large reels and big fish strikes). A 1/2 spacer gap (too big or small) made them ineffective. Plus they came with sandpaper grip inserts that did not fit all diameter bars well.

CC's are paired together which helps with overall grip. But as a solo mount, they need to be tuned just right to support decent loads. We found that the right number of spacers helped stabilize it.

Point taken. The railblaza guys here have said they will order some spares in for me. I only have the humminbird and radio up on the rail so no great loads on it.

We'll need around 5 on each side. RB did not have a mold to make them separately yet. Excellent test for 3D printer, I think  .

I like what you did with the track. Can you tell us about the port you have installed next to them? Electrical? Are you planning a sump pump?

That's the 12v supply for the humminbird ....plug and play as I move it from the revo to the Ti .

The rail is surprisingly solid.
