..actually I've just seen a YouTube clip of a Skipper Seat mounting. When I can find the time I'll try it - the rear of the seat is supported by 3 massive ty-wraps (zip ties) around the crossbar and through holes drilled in the seat frame. A good start.. Any further suggestions?? |

.............but I need to ask, is the skipper seat that much more comfortable than the supplied Hobie seat with icomfort pad or foam pad ?[/quote] Hi Slaughter - well I've bought the seat so I'm going to fit it! I find the Hobie seat digs into my kidneys but I have persevered over the last 2 years.. I haven't tried the seat pads but found an increased level of comfort wearing long wet suit shorts. I had not seen the Mingle solution and have just had a quick look, shall read it properly over the weekend. What type of hammock did you get (read your entry in Daves Keppel report). I'm never used one but am prepared to take a gamble it would be ok for my tired old bones. Tents have to be a back up really - maybe I should be using a bigger tent! Thanks |
