When not being used out on the haka, my old broom handle makes a very good camera pole stuck in the milk crate.
The flat-folding mini tripod is only a couple dollars on eBay from China or Hong Kong with free shipping!
The knotted chord keeps it safe and also prevents the broom handle from ejecting it from the molded pvc pipe.
I'll try it out on Monday and report back with pics from the A.R.K....
