Has anyone tryed a longer rudder (longer then stock 2011+ years) on your kayaks?

If so, how does it work, do you get better control in wind and waves?

Looking to try it.

Thanks

There is no longer rudder for a Tandem Island unless you still have the original twist and stow rudder on your 2011 or older boat. Twist and stow rotates and lays flat on the aft deck. The current rudder sticks straight up. Current rudder came out in Spring 2011.

If you have a Tandem Island with twist and stow rudder... you can get the current rudder a no charge. Way better.
