I found that my mainsail tended to furl with the top batton pointing out for the last couple years. Always annoyed me. Today I played with it a bit an may have solved the issue. Surely others have had the same issue.

The solution seems to be loosening the tie on the top of the batton. If too tight, that's what happens. This is the after Fix appearance when furled.

I don't know if this will effect the function of the sail in any negative way but I doubt it. I'll report back after taking it for a spin.

Sailed with the batton change. It fund nice and tight all day and there was not problem with performance. I dId have it too loose though as the batton top came off during the sail. I just tightened it a bit tighter.
