Post subject:  Nav lights, another option
The wife has been bugging me to go night sailing for a while now. Here on the river we have three different authorities that patrol regularly for troublemakers. And we have our share of troublemakers.

So, before we go out after dark we need the appropriate navigation lights. I was excited to see in another post the eGear Lazer Stiks. "These are just what we need!" But it seems eGear doesn't make a white/clear one anymore for the sterns. But they do make a different waterproof LED light that comes in red, green, and white/clear called "The Guardian".

It comes with a belt clip that I believe would work great on the forward hatch bungies. I ordered two sets from www.usahuntingsupplies.com $10.80 each.

When they get here I'll let ya'll know what I think of them.

On the back of mine I use glow sticks. I put a white one on the back and red and green on the sides.

the LED deck light has a battery life of 100 hours and uses a suction cup to attach, I think we can also get permanent mounts for the same light, retails for $34.00

the bow light also have 100 hours of light time and attached the same way, also $34

on a side note, we put one of the batteries in backwards and noticed the light flashed, so if you ever need an LED light to flash try flipping the battery over.

The company we get these items from does not have a dealer listing or anything like that so I'm not sure where you can get these items locally.

I used the Guardian lights recently in Florida and they worked Great.

Sunjammers, it seems that your front lights are just guardians clipped onto the suction cup mount. Are they?

I received this as a gift from wife for Xmas (along with a drysuit) it has the red and green nav lights along with a solid anchor and running light and finally an S.O.S. beacon very cool. All are LED and run on 4 double A batteries. Made by Seattle Sports and sold at REI.

Seattle Sports also makes a cool extender to get the Multi-strobe higher in the air.

:D :shock: If there are no local suppliers of the navigation lights you have on the front with a suction cup apparatus do you have any idea where we could order them from? It looks like you've got a great setup
