My excellent Oz Hobie Dealer is a conservative, traditionalist yachtsman so he calls this, "That big ugly thing on the front of your boat!", but he doesn't deny it adds ergs to off-wind speed on those light days. works well in Adventure mode too as the AI has a real Skeg.

Thanks, that is Manilla, near Tamworth, NSW, a World Class site where they hold the Nationals every year, distances of over 300Km are not uncommon and Euro pilots flock there every Summer for the renowned good Thermals and open country.
Like many I converted to Paragliding 'cos it's bit less strenous for us seniors than Hang Gliding, I loved the way I could pack my Para into a big Rucksack and hitch-hike home after landing-out, cant do that with a Hangie.
