Winds light. Steering worked great though. Got to play on the Fumar. A slow day sailing is so much funner than work!

From the Captains Log Sail Date: 8/20/2010 Evening - Winds 15-20 (finally!).

Today, Captain Ron and I took the TI out. Great winds, good gusts and a lot of water.

With the rudder bolt installed - the boat was controllable and did well. We took turns out on the tramps which let us keep the sail out the whole time, otherwise would have to reef for sure.

Right at the end of the sail, I guess one of the steering lines slipped cause the handle would go way further than it should have gone. Also, I am going to rig up and use the 3 to 1 pull. When there is wind, it is a lot of work.

The ride was very very wet as you will see below. I got to get some splash guards.

Anyway, some pics...

Ron out on the tramps.

Sun went down, but the water remains (and half the lake is the boat!). The front seat is underwater. Note: Never open that front hatch while under sail. LOL.

I told Ron that the Jet Engine might be a tad too much power.
Well, it's ok in the summer when its 100 out, but in the fall all that water might be a little cold.
I will be ordering a set very soon....

We had a quick sail today MM - sorry I forgot to get a hold of you.

Downwind sail at Canyon - was such a nice evening. Nobody there except Ron and I and maybe 2 or 3 boats and couple jet skis.
