Am considering taking a week to paddle/peddle/sail/camp along the Trent Severn Canal and Lakes system. Has anyone here done that and if so any things to be aware of beforehand? Also considering the Rideau Canal system in Quebec, but that system doesn't have as many sail-able lakes I would think. Thanks

do mean the rideau canal between kingston and ottawa ? going thru all the locks would be expensive and there would be alot of leg power needed peddle most of the way. There is only about 2 lakes on the system and the canal itself is too narrow for sailing. Now the Ottawa river has some great sections for sailing with lots of islands to camp on over night.

Yeah, that's why I was leaning more towards the Trent/Severn because there are a lot of lakes inbetween the locks etc.......a chance to put the sail up more. Ever done any part of the Trent/Severn in an Adventure Island?
