I can't see any problems with bringing who you want. It certainly wouldn't worry me, we're only out for a sail and a bit of fun. The more the merrier as far as I'm concerned.

We camped out at Broughton on the Oct long weekend two years ago and there weren't that many boats around. Probably a bit busier in around port stephens though.

Assuming the weather is reasonable we will be heading out to Broughton rather than in around the bay. I'll keep an eye on the thread and will keep you updated if others decide to come out as well.

Would like to try to make this one. Quite happy look at staying at the caravan/camping park and do some day trips. Never been up that way before. I might have to do a dash down to Melbourne in early Nov so I have to factor that in.

OK guys, we need to settle on a date! 8)

18/19 Sep
- No good (Terrigal to Pretty Beach day trip)
25/26 Sep
02/03 Oct
- Long weekend, yakmeister planning Broughton Isl camping
- Other non-campers (like me) could do a day trip to and fro?
09/10 Oct
16/17 Oct
- Max can't do (wife off for w/e)
23/24 Oct
30/31 Oct

If each person interested could copy the above, and add comments (esp when not available), process of elimination could give us a suitable date?

Prefer not the long weekend or school holidays. I hate sitting in the carpark otherwise known as F3 with most of Sydney....

I'm thinking of one of those small cabins. How long are week looking to stay?

It does sound like a long way off Max but we have found that 2 months out is about the norm for organising a trip. With work commitments, family commitments, weather, gear etc. It may be also best that we all keep free both those weekends so that if the weather is crook on the first we can then shoot for the second without having to wait another 2 months.

Good point Slaughter... I'll pencil in 23/24 Oct, with alternative for 30/31 Oct.

Rates can be found here: Fingal Bay Holiday Park
Cheapest is a 'Holiday Cabin' at $130 per night. Only 6 of those however.
The Park layout is here: Site Map.
