On July 23rd, my wife & I took our TI, Trifurcatus, to Canyon Lake, Texas. There, we met up with TxYakMan and Capt Ron (both on this forum). They were GREAT hosts and treated us to a most excellent day on the water... our best day of sailing thus far!
Canyon Lake is surprisingly clear, and its waters are comfortably cool, in spite of the summer heat that tends to warm the waters of other Texas lakes. Let there be no doubt that this place is something special, and we WILL visit again.
Although there were numerous power boats buzzing about, everyone was courteous to our group of two TI's and one AI.
Our total trip distance was 21.1 miles, and we did that in less than 5 hours without even trying. We even stopped for a snack break near the dam.

It was a good time and was great meeting you both.
Great video too!
I thought I was going over for moment, I was holding on to the side and leaning as far as I good to prevent the dreaded capsize. It was fun!
New rudder again worked great. Once we got back to the ramp, we noticed that one of my rudder screws had almost come out. When driving home, I looked in rear view mirror to find that it did come out and the rudder was flopping all over the place. Took rudder off and redid both with new application of Loctite.
