I picked up my parts today from Avon Sailboats, Rochester Hills, MI. As a pleasant surprise, the mast fit easily into my new Ford Explorer when separated into two pieces. No need to strap it to the roof rack.

Heading up to the lake tomorrow to swap out the parts.

Mission accomplished.

The part swapping was a piece of cake. The main cross-bar with the mast bearing came out easily by removing 6 screws. The new one went right back in place with no fuss.
