Hello all, How important is the AKA / AMA geometry on the AI. Having just got my boat assembled it is really obvious that the AMAs do not run parallel with the Hull. Will this cause a performance or stability issue ? Cheers. -TIm |

AI ama never ran parallel to the hull or each other and the aka never quite parallel to each other. Ama always toed out and the front aka always a little more forward on the outside. Seems to be perfect this way. |

I think I may have to talk more to Hobie about this.... When I tried to slot the mast in, the bearing on the mast also didn't line up at all either. This is a brand new hull from a main dealer. I removed the cross bar and discovered some incredibly bad workmanship on the cross bar. Its shocking, looks like someone has tried to increase the hole size on the AKA bar but its appalling amateur work and it still doesn't line up. I'm not impressed on something that cost me >$4000.00 Australian If I can work out how to post pictures I will. -Tim |
