What a great country Pirate.

A couple of weeks ago we visited Corryong where allegedly Jack Riley, a local Irish character, told visiting Banjo Patterson the story from whence came the poem which prompted the film.
We were on the Murray which for our USA friends, also starts near Mount Kosciuszko but travels West then South across Australia for 1,476 miles. All beautiful country. I'm sure they had Hobie Islands in mind when they designed it.
This the wife and I enjoying the tranquility in one of those versatile craft on the upper reaches of the River Murray.

Our plan is to travel the length in 2015. :D

Nope, didn't see the Man From Snowy River. I hear he rides a quad bike these days...

Some great pics of Marlo and the Snowy River can be found on this Facebook page.

You blokes make me envious with all that beautiful scenery you've got to visit down south there. Im stuck with extreme high tides...extreme low tides...days without the slightest breeze...box jellyfish that are out to kill me...and crocodiles which are getting to plague proportions. Any-one for a visit to Darwin????
Cheers Vintagereplica...Remember...If it works okay...modify it anyway!
