OH Ha, is that a bit like a Hawian sort of wrap around skirt. Can't you just see yourself in one of those for the hot summer months Tony.
fastbruce,
yes the AI and TI are a bit of a wet ride:
Kayaking Bob has made spray skirts that help stop the big splashes comming up and hitting you in the face. These in combination with trampolines do help a lot in keeping you dry untill the wind getts up to over 20 knots and then it is a wet ride no matter what you have.
Tonystott has done a neat Skippers chair to keep him up a bit high and dry
but still wears some waders in the cold months.
I wear Shark-skin thermal under garments and a Hobie Cag waterproof top. In the winter I also wear a 3mm wetsuit hooded vest and 2mm wetsuit pants and booties.
I plan to be wet so if I want to jump overboard with snorkelling gear, I can. Also if the wind picks up I am still warm enough to survive the trip back home.
