LETS MAKE SOME PLANS

I want to schedule a few long weekends this season

I am hoping to find some places we can camp or sleep on board the yaks and spend a few days on the water in the New Jersey or Long Island. Let the planning begin I will commit to setting up some dates so we can start planning the trip

Sounds good. Having lived on the eastern end of Long Island and now on the Jersey Shore, I am familiar with both areas. I plan on attending the paddlesports show next weekend. Anyone game for a meetup to hammer out some plans?

One of the places I was thinking of was in Long Island - Flanders Bay there is a campground there called Indian Island Campground. It is a excellent place to setup some day trips from the campsite or we can head east out Great Peconic Bay towards Shelter Island and try to find some beaches for a over night or 2

I have kayak sailed extensively thru this area

This is a excellent campsite with great water access and if the conditions are bad we can still setup day trips around the bay. Its also a great time for some striper fishinig

Im still in and looking for some fun .. gets boring always sailing alone. As per page1, I'm in Northport Long Island, but can pretty much car top or trailer anywhere

Lol - out of all the dates to pick... I'm on the board of directors for a national car club and our event is the following week so I'll be plenty busy the week before.

I'm pretty much free the whole summer except around 4th of July

Why don't we shoot for a single day sail meet & greet first ?
