Great day of sailing today in British Columbia, Canada. Yet I lost Mirage Drive fin. Also, in losing the fin, the 3mm (0.12in) screw (that held the fin) punctured a hole where the mirage drive sits (one of the corners), so water was pouring in threw the hole, yet was ok to still sail. we did a hose test at home and saw that 3mm hole. So what can you recommend to fix the hole? Thank you kindly. mel

Bummer, but caution. Likely the drive was inserted into the well incorrectly to pull the hardware out of the fin and cause loss of the fin. Review the FAQ here: http://www.hobiecat.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=12836

Welding is effective and easy to do. Especially for a small hole. Just like soldering wires. 72097001 KC WELDER PRO WITH ROD STOCK

Thank you Matt. It was inserted correctly, but the fin had problems prior. Our local dealer works with a plastic welder, otw I'll purchase my own kit. Another option is a clay putty that hardens, which works with pipes, plastic etc. temporary fix is a duct tape.
