The 2007 Watertribe Everglades Challenge just ended, and I believe there were 2 or 3 AIs participating.

How did the boats perform?

Thanks!

[P.S. Nice to see an AI forum !]

Was there a third AI in the Everglades Challenge?

Very interested to hear details of how the boats stood the test, lessons learned, etc.

The third boat was in the "Ultra Marathon" (first 90 miles) section of the race.

Sounds like the three AIs finished very well on that leg. I think it was "Flounder".

“One of the major advantages of the Hobie pedal drive is the fact it can be used to reverse the boat. Indeed, it helped me out of what had all the makings of a long night on the St Mary's River last year when I found myself wedged by the swift current against a fallen tree. Each effort to push off with the paddle was futile. Then, I removed the drive and replaced it in the well 'backwards'. Within minutes I was in the channel and headed to the next checkpoint. Nickâ€
