Hi, I am looking at buying a 2009 AI. I would like to take it out in very windy and potential rough sea conditions. Do you think I need longer Amas? The 2009’s are much shorter than newer models. If so, where could I get them? Thanks in advance.

I don’t know or the 2015 or newer ama’s would fit, the distance between the holes where the aka’s fit might be different
Maybe an american person can give you the distance in inches, iff you want it in metric ask and i will take a tapemesure to my ai
