Weeks ago, I and several other forum members pointed out that the 'old grey' narrow-tip
daggerboard had EXACTLY THE SAME Hobie parts number as the 'new black' wider-tip
daggerboard.
I made the comment that I didn't see how Hobie could keep their orders straight using
the same parts number...well...I am proof of my prediction.

My dealer carefully ordered the 'new daggerboard' using the parts number but with
the comment...'ADV Molded'. Which was correct for the new board...

However, it appears that the new boards come from manufacturing in individual cardboard
shipping boxes. So the Hobie shipping department seems to have no way to tell which
type of board is in which box.

I just received my 'new' board with an invoice which states that it is the new ADV molded
board...but in the sealed box was an 'old grey' board with the narrow tip.

Now, I have to wait for Hobie to respond and generate a return procedure, so I can
send it back.

But my dealer and I suspect that I may get another older-grey board again...unless Hobie
shipping will take the time to inspect each board to make sure that the correct board
is being shipped out!

PS...I sort of knew that this was going to happen, when I saw that the new board
had the exact same parts number as the old one.

And it's exactly the same situation Downunder! :?
My dealer was told the fibreglass boards will be shipped until stocks are exhausted.
He still managed to get me one though!
