Ron,
Cool!
I live by Blanco/Kendalia. Canyon lake is not far at all.
That would be fun to sail with some more people.
Have you ever sailed down at the coast ?

Mark,
Great, you are close...yes, I've sailed many years on the Gulf Coast in all types of sailboats...I've only had the AI's for a few months and have not made it to the coast yet...I live around the corner from Ramp #1 on Canyon Lake so it's REAL convenient!...I also have a Fulmar 19 that's similar to the TI...check it out at:

Do you have an AI now?

Ron

Ron,

The Fulmar looks like a fun sailboat, kind of like the TI. Do you like the Fulmar or the AI better?

I do not own a AI, we bought our Tandem Outfitter 2 years ago. My wife started training for Triathlons and we bought the Tandem so I could tag along as she swam and if she got tired could crawl into the boat. I also bought the little sail and then we got hooked on sailing. She now wants to do some ocean swims and we wanted to get a bigger sailing yak and well the TI is just what we were looking for.

Look forward to doing some sailing with you in the near future.

Mark.

Mark,
The Fulmar 19 is a great boat...it's a bit drier than an AI...it's a better design for longer trips and has more capacity for camping gear etc...I'm thinking about doing the Texas 200 this summer on the Fulmar...the AI is a blast for day sailing...lets get together if you would like to sail an AI before your tandem comes in...

Ron

Ron,

I saw pics of the Texas 200 from last year, that looks like a blast.
That is great offer, I would love to try out an AI.

Ron, Mark, i'm relocating back to the states very soon,Boerne to be exact, and bringing my AI with me.It would be good to share some time with fellow AI sailors. I've read about the TX 200,some thing I might like to try.

John,
Sounds good to me.
My wife and I go to Boerne Lake all the time. Great little kayak/swimming lake.

John and Mark,
Looks like we might have a fleet of AI's on Canyon Lake this summer!... It would be cool to have several multihulls in the Texas 200 this year...Canyon Lake is great but no Cayman Islands!...That has to be a wonderful sailing area for an AI!

No doubt, I bet you had some great times sailing in the Caymens.
Look forward to meeting both of you. It will be nice to have others to sail with.

yes I will miss the sailing here, mostley I sail the north sound, inside the reef lots of mangrove lagoons, channels to explore. never see a soul back in there just turtles, Iguana, birds and fish very protected and pristine.when I go outside the reef I usualy troll for anythink that bites, mostley blackfin tuna, skipjacks, bara's and jacks, main regret will be not having sailed completely around the Island.
this is where I launch to fish the north sideImage
