Tom - I like your motor mount...as simple as it can get. Nice. Would you mind to share what battery you are using for the Sevylor (how heavy is it??) and what is your range with one battery load going steady at 3 knots?

I use a small 35 amp hour "mart cart" battery. Weighs about 25 pounds and will run the motor on high for about an hour to an hour and a half.

If you buy the Evolve you'd want to use their lightweight battery, of course, which would be even better.
