Although I think its hard to do, I wonder if When sailing down a wave in my TI, if I should bury the nose, and filp it over, would the mast come out ? If so, what would be a good way to secure it ??
Max.

Max,
You are right. It would be very hard to do.
If by some strange set of circumstances you managed to pitchpole or capsize then the mast should stay held in place by
-the mast retainer lever built into the mast receiver
-the furling line
-the sail which is attached to the mast by a tensioning line.
This is assuming the TI has a similar design to the AI.

Stringy is right -

I have one of the original AI's built in late 2006. It has the little metal flap to retain the mast. I've been capsized twice, once sideways, and once flipped over backwards(rather spectacular) The amas collapsed and the boat took quite a beating but the mast stayed put.

In similar conditions, to prevent the mast from being lost, I bungee it to the trailer, right beside the boat.
