Today I was out when I heard a poping sound and noticed the mast was leanning back after a close inspection inside the hatch I found a broken screw that hold the V- frame , and the V-frame has now a 1/2 inch space between the hull and the mast receiver. If I look down into the mast cup it's leaning toward the back. My question is how many screw are holding the mast receiver from the botom of the hull I see there is two plastic caps if I am looking underneath the hull from the outside. I might be able to reuse this screw as it snapped near the top of the nut. How do I fix this should I loosen the V-Frame turn buckle.

That sounds scary! I'd be having my dealer have a look.
Don't think it's a very common problem.

Certainly I'd be seeing my dealer.
It might not be broken. The bolt is actually a stud I think.
Check out this post and Philip1el's reply. The pics give you an idea of how the mast tube is attached.

Maybe the nut backed off?

Thanks guys I took it apart and found that the screw was broken at two places. I put a new one in.
