They spoke of a new accessory for the TI - a furling gennaker

Is there any more info yet?
Here's a short, cool clip of one in action.

Kinked a bow... too much upwards load when sailing to weather in high wind.

Ouch. Thanks for that detail. I wondered what might break if I flew the jib on my AI in too much wind. I am probably not the only one experimenting with added sail area, and it is nice to know what others break. Especially what you guys at Hobie break! Beats blindly feeling around until I discover a load limit the hard way!

Gee, kinked a bow, how big is the sail of jib/gennaker? if sailing to weather in high winds it must be fairly flat shape, maybe it would be better to have more of a spinnaker shape to improve downwind performance for square running and broad reaches only, then should be less pressure on the bow.

Also, the pikkie shows the mast with shrouds, so can the mainsail still furl?

Lastly, i want a tandem (with all the trimmings when completed) in the off-white colour, i am sure if you were to do a survey, you would get a high percentage of buyers preferring this colour, it looks great!! Please make it available in the future.

Cheers
i tri
