Hey guys,

I found an AI, but it is missing the AKAs and AMAs. I'm trying to decide if it is worth buying, but I need to make sure I know what else I will need to make it complete. It is a 2007 model. Here's my list. Anything I am missing?

99304001 AMAx2: $520
79522001 rear AKA: $77
79521001 rear AKA: $77
79520001 front AKAx2: $144
79523101 AKA bracex2: $92

It has the XBAR front and rear, but I don't know what other hardware is needed to mount the AKAs.

Also, the mirage drive is a V1 drive in poor shape, it needs new fins at least, possibly more, so I'll add that also:

81193001 ST FINx2: $52

So, now I am up to $962 + tax = $1050 in parts. If I get the yak for $1500, that puts me at about $2500 for a 2007 AI. Is it worth it?

My main concern is that there are other small parts missing and these small parts add up quickly when they have the little "H" on them!

Any thoughts/advice?

Thanks,
Keith

No. I'll sell you my late 2007 AI, complete with turbofins & all upgrades, in excellent condition for $2200. Garage stored. Must pick up in S FL.

Keith

Any luck with the parts search?
Sounds like they want too much for the remaining AI parts.
Do you have any other boats/ Kayaks?
Where do you launch from?

I take the AI out from Trails end park most often. Sometimes I go in the river from River road park down from sanders road.

No luck finding parts yet. I haven't bought the AI yet. I may try to get it for cheap and just kayak in it.

I have some other Hobie kayaks, Outback, Revo, Outfitter, and a Hobie 16.

Check my new website:

http://www.masonborowatersports.com/

I usually launch from where I live, Pelican Point Rd, just South of Trails End.

Oh Cool!! I checked out your website and added myself to your Facebook. I can easily refer people to you to rent Hobies as I get approached alot about the AI but its the Drive that always gets the most attention. I usually refer them to Great outdoor Provision co. as that is the local dealer. Many may rather rent first to try some models out. The fact you deliver will be a great perk for many people I would think.

Water is finally warming up enough I don't need the wetsuit. Ready to start heading for the Inlet and beyond. I think I may have seen you sailing the 16 in the waterway last fall?

Either me or my neighbor on the H16. Mine has a white, light blue, and dark blue sail. My neighbor's has only white and dark blue.

I am hoping to get the H16 in the water in the next few weeks. I will look for you on the weekends. I am out every weekend in either a kayak, H16, or Jon boat. Most times in the Jon boat unfortunately...
