303 UV inhibitor on top surfaces

Hi, all.

I have a question about putting 303 on my new TI. The top surfaces of the amas and central hull have a roughened surface - I suppose to allow better footing. I bought a gallon of 303 to apply to my new baby but am wondering if I should avoid putting it on these upper surfaces? Will it make them slippery and defeat the roughening? Should I just apply the 303 to the other surfaces? I know with Armor All it turns everything slicker than deer guts on a doorknob. Does this happen with 303 as well? Thanks.

Oh, heck.

I thought everyone was ready to have a stroke about 303 it was so fantastically great! Now I have a whole gallon of it sitting in my basement. So, let me understand. 303 will make surfaces slippery but the stuff from Hobie won't?

Ugh!!

Okay, any other thoughts folks? Can I use up the 303 on the sails? What about the undersides of the hull - or will it make it impossible to handle the thing on launch (like an oiled pig)?

Anyone want to buy a gallon of 303 - cheep cheep?

Can't buy it in gallons here on Maui. Maybe you could hand deliver it...

Water will make your boat slippery also. I can find a good and safe home for it and the unsafe 303. :lol:

ArmourAll also works... but, it too is slippery. Like the 303, there is a oily film on the surface after application.

That also means stuff will stick to it. Dust, dirt...
