Done - thanks for bringing this to peoples' attention.

I've logged over 350 dives (and not logged plenty more) and have had about 25-30 shark encounters - all of the unscheduled kind. In all but one they either ignored me or showed just the slightest bit of curiosity.

Places where once they were plentiful they are rarely spotted now. To lose them would be aweful ... to lose them for a bowl of soup is is beyond comprehension.

Sadly there are many creatures that share the same storyline.

No need to apologize, Thank you for making us aware of this awful situation. I signed the petition and forwarded the article to our S. Florida sailing club and about 30 friends and family members.

I have seen it reported here in the UK. Human greed or just political failure, neither answer is of much solace when you're extinct.
