I am in the market to purchase a used AI and have a few questions. First of all, this will be my first purchase of a kayak so my knowledge of what to look for is a bit limited. 1. My biggest concern is purchasing a used kayak that is out of warranty that has a small leak somewhere that I might not be able to see. Is there a way or areas specifically to look for on leaks, cracks, etc? 2. There are several 2008 models for sale in my area in Florida. Is the mirage drive "seating" issue that big of a deal? I've heard they have an issue with cracked hulls 3. Is it true that the red kayaks fade significantly vs the yellow? Thank you in advance for any assistance. |

I am wondering the same things, I am trying to decide if i should wait and find a used AI or just bite the bullet and buy a new one. |
