I live in Thailand and love the idea of buying a TI for using around the country. I haven't gotten a chance to try a TI yet and the dealership is a couple hours away.

Problem is, I am 6ft 4 and 225 lbs. My wife would be using the boat along with me - she is 5'5 and 105 lbs. Is a TI going to fit someone of my size?

I would appreciate hearing from anyone who might have some insight into the experiences of any taller TI enthusiasts out there!

Thanks in advance....

Yes! Comfortably I might add :D
Im 6'4" 240lbs and my fiance 5'5" 130lbs and we have a great time
I usually sit center seat and she likes the back in that I can hold it next to pier so she can step in versus wading in.
My son is 6'6" and other son (13) is 5'7" - all three of us went out sailing....
We were close to 600lb limit but Yak handled great, so there you go!
Only thing Ive noticed is solo sailing with wind 10-15knts - the boat wants to round up into the wind more with weight centered. Others on forum, sit in back to reduce "Weather Helm"

Buy the boat. It's not a problem. You will both fit without any problems. There is plenty of adjustability in the Mirage Drive system, and the seats to fit you both.

Go for it! I was 6'3" and 337 pounds when I got my TI. I found legroom a bit shy in the front seat, so fitted a swivelling "captain's chair" up 6 inches and back 4, (I also have mobility issues and find the swivel really useful), but I now suspect I could have fitted in the standard seat. I use my TI 3-4 times a week (at least 20 plus hours "in the saddle") and am losing about 2 pounds a week while having the time of my life, (28 down and 70+ to go!)

Go for it. 6'11" at 300# with wife at 130#. Sails and peddles great. Solo great but even better when you are taking camping gear on an extended trip to balance the front of the boat.

I am 6'5" AND 260#. I've put The Wife in the middle and a kid on each tramp without difficulty, other than the sail taking my hat off on a tack every now and then.
