Hello everyone and Merry Christmas,

New guy here. Tomorrow I pick up my new 2013 TI. In the next 10 days I hope to spend a lot of time getting to know my TI on the waterways around Forster NSW.

In early Feb I should be living in Sydney and would be keen to hear from others with experience with Sydney Harbour and waterways around the Lane Cove area.

Thanks for your suggestions

Swany

Hey Swany, congratulations on the new TI and welcome.

The new 2013 model should have a few improvements over the 12, but they are a great boat anyway.
When you get out for a sail in Foster, keep an eye out for another dune color TI. I am prety sure Tonystott sails out of Foster. He is a regular on here and other kayak forums and has some prety good ideas on how to set up your new toy. Say Hi.

If your ever over the West side of the country, come for a sail.

Swany, welcome to the TI clan! I have just launched the Mid North Coast Hobie Island club and we had 4 TIs and 2 AIs out on Wallis Lake for our first gathering on 25th November.

I am laid low (as regards sailing) after surgery last Monday, but would love to meet up with you anywhere round the Forster Area to say hello and swap stories. My mobile is 0414346804 or send me a PM.

Cheers
Tony
PS Thanks Geordie

Hi Swany. Welcome to the forum. I hope to get up that way soon so look forward to catching up. If you're ever down Lake Macquarie, give us a yell.

Boys, thanks for the welcome.

Geordie, West Aus is on the to do list but it's planned as a Harley trip so no TI.

Slaughter, I'm picking my TI up from Belmont but can't hang around as I've got to get back to Rutherford. Otherwise I'd say hello.

Tony I'll be holidaying in Forster from the 29th so will touch base. I'm keen to have a go at prawning so you may have a few tips.

Then early Feb I should be in the "Big Smoke" and will be keen to sail with the like minded around Sydney's waterways.

Cheers

Swany

Hey Swany,
a trailer with TI behind the Harley would be quite a rig (with 'Overlength vehicle' signs on it).

Mate, great pic!

Seeing I'm a ruggedly handsome outdoors individual, it'd be a swag instead of the caravan.

Yeah right - just did 7000 klm around Aus on my Harley Road King and it was hot showers and comfy motel bed each night!
