Post subject:  loose screw in hull

Hi all. My name is Ryson. I'm a new 2013 AI owner and have been out with it once and loved it. Later that night when I was turning the hull upside down, I found a screw floating around inside. Its a fine thread machine screw with a round washer head that accepts an allen key. I'm not sure it was in the hull when I received it, but I didn't hear anything when I first unwrapped the hull. So far I've only had a few items actually inside the hull; c tug cart, a pair of bodyboarding fins, some rope, and a manual bilge pump. I've looked in and out of the hull and cannot find anything that resembles this screw nor can I find any holes that would take the screw, so I'm wondering if it even belongs on the AI. You guys probably know better since I've only had mine for a week. Thanks for your help!

Ryson

This appears to be a rudder handle screw. I'm sure it was just dropped into the hull during assembly by mistake - that is the only spot that we use that particular screw - so nothing to worry about.
