Max - great to hear from you how's the health?

gday Dave good to catch up with you too.

I don't get much energy per day so have given up the Cycling and Paddling.

But I bought an Evolve so still get out sometimes with the donk doing all the work.

I do not have the strength to pull my AI up the beach any more so I bought a Hobie AI trailer and a 4x4 SUV so I can back the AI right down the beach to the water. Havent tried it yet since winds here are 30k Nw for weeks :(

Going to ILUKA, near Yamba, next month with Two other AI's so expect some pics then.

My old 2007 AI is still working perfectly and I woudnt trade it for those new-fangled Knuckles and Mirage Mounts.

Did fit the PA 25ft V-Sail which annoyed me AI Mate 'cos every time we turn downwind I leave him behind :P

You can get this bike trailer - http://carryfreedom.com/Y-Frame.html - with an extra long handle, but I might buy two trailers instead. They cost about 269 Euros and weighs 7 kg. One trailer takes 90 kg, which is enough for a TI and its anchors and not much more.

Do you think it might be a good solution with one or two of these?

Came across these yesterday. The first two look like they might be able to handle the load.

I still would like to be able to transport the TI with an electric bike. It seems to me that the best solution would be to buy a bike with 20-inch-wheels and fasten one of the front akas on the bikes luggage carrier. I would put two strong trolleys under the TI. The akas on the left side of the boat would be pulled in to the main hull while the akas on the same side as the bike would be pulled out.

Do you get the idea? Do you think it will work well?

The difficulty I had pulling my TI with a regular bike was the rolling resistance of a regular scupper cart without bearings on the axles, and also the soft inflated tires like you would use on sand make a lot of resistance. Plus I think they would be only suitable for a few hundred feet at walking speed only (not bike speed).
My house in Key West is about a mile from Higgs beach (where I launch). It's all flat ground and paved streets all the way. With a regular TI road trailer it actually gets going pretty good, and once your rolling I'm sure I can maintain for several miles. Stopping distance is pretty extended because of the weight. Steering in tight places is not so good. To be honest it was a cool idea but I only ended up using it twice then gave up. Now I use my pontiac Solstice (which is tiny) instead. My wife also has a genuine Buddy 150cc scooter, that I've gotten over 40 mph pulling my TI on the trailer, but am not sure it is street legal to tow a boat trailer with a scooter (pretty sure it's not), so I had to give up on that as well.
Good luck
